VHK School’s programme Home of Senses

It is a valued tradition that the theatre students of the Old Town Educational College (Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium or VHK) perform a thorough and diverse literary programme on the first day of the festival, covering both contemporaries as well as classics, both translated as well as original fiction. This year’s programme is notable for the large share of Estonian literature – the young will lend their voices to authors like Juhan Viiding / Jüri Üdi, A. H. Tammsaare, Doris Kareva, Betti Alver, Oskar Luts, Artur Alliksaar, Hando Runnel, Tõnu Õnnepalu and others. The title of the programme refers to our forest-roaming national treasure – Valdur Mikita. As always, the graduate students are supervised by actor and musician Tõnis Rätsep.

The event is in Estonian.
