Joose Keskitalo

Joose Keskitalo (1982) is a Finnish singer, songwriter and performer. His style is characterised by harsh, yet Christian-charged lyrics, accompanied by the rough sound of guitar and harmonica. He also likes to record his songs in a simple production without too much technology involved. Keskitalo’s works focus on faith, the end of the world, death, freedom and, of course, love. His first album Luoja auta (Help Me, Lord), released in 2004, combines timeless Bible themes with social criticism. Keskitalo has released eight albums so far, the latest one, Julius Caesarin anatomia (The Anatomy of Julius Caesar), appearing last year. In addition to many Finnish artists, Keskitalo also calls Vladimir Vysotsky and Leonard Cohen as his idols, while his music mixes the influences of folk, country, jazz and variety music.
