Mari Kalkun (1986) is an Estonian singer and musician, one of our most popular folk musicians. Singing in the Võro and Seto dialects as well as Estonian, she has used many texts by Estonian poets for lyrics. She has created music for classics – Bernard Kangro, Marie Heiberg, Raimond Kolk, Villem Grünthal-Ridala, Artur Alliksaar, August Sang – and contemporary authors like Doris Kareva, Andreas Kalkun or Merca. However, the lyrics on her latest album Ilmamõtsan (2017) are mostly written by herself. Aleksandra Kremenetski is a jazz musician and composer. Her main instrument is percussion, and she is the founder of the percussion duo Redel ruudus. She has also worked with the international jazz quarter Quid Novi? and the the Jewish music group Keshet.
