HeadRead is always happy to collaborate with actors and events that have a direct or indirect link with literature and what we offer at the festival. In the case of the illustration exhibition Sandwiches with Summer and Wind, it does not take much of an effort to find a link, because book illustration is a crucial part of how the written word is perceived and stored in our minds – but it goes so much further than that!
The exhibition, opened as part of the I Don’t Get It art festival and delighting viewers until 20 July, will be added to our programme thanks to Jan Kaus, who will take visitors on an exhibition tour, dissecting illustration and text and their connections with his characteristic blend of entertainment and synthesis.
